Painting Scene

This is the first painting filming This was kind of a practise, but we hope that if the camera shots comes out good, then we may possibly include it in the music video. But after adding them with other shots from different locations, we thought that we should of made the painting more intense, to express that angst and anger from the heartbreak that she 'bottled' up that anger and frustration from the breakup and  she really wants to fall in love again.

We thought it would be best to refilm the painting scene agin, but it was in a different location. The first painting shots were filmed int he Drama room because it has balck curtains all around the room, which create that dark and gloomy atmosphere. But when we tried to refilm, but the room was in use for another class. So we had to imprvise and film in the Great Hall, which worked in our favour as the Great Hall had a brick wall, that looked rustic and very artsy. So I wrote HOLD ME DOWN on a new canvas like I did previously, then I smeared, stratched and scraped off the purple paint (the purple colour is the main theme colour for the music video, album and magazine ad). This dramatic scene is meant to express her emotions more, so the audience sees that.

We were inspired by Demi Lovato's music video for 'Heart Attack' as she has a very artistic and monochrome theme to her music video, with the paint dripping down and with the paint on her hands, as if they were these sinister looking gloves. The paint on her hands expresses that angry and intense emotion, which is something we aim to illustrate for the painting shots in our music video.
